LightEn Center - North Carolina
Nestled in the mountains of Western North Carolina, the LightEn Center is a large complex of buildings designed by Cutler Anderson Architects. AJH Custom Homes worked with Harper General Contractors on the core buildings seen here, and also a laundry facility in another area of the center. Our primary role on the three core buildings was to place concrete, where we used textured form boards to create a wood grain pattern on the walls around the ampitheater. We also built the timber structure of the three buildings, including placing Rosboro laminate beams that not only provide the structural integrity of the roof but also give the buildings their unique look! On the laundry building we installed cedar siding to produce a shou sugi ban style of siding, giving it a unique and creative look.
